Microsoft Education Transformation Summit

Creating resilience in uncertain times

With the unprecedented disruption created by the COVID-19 pandemic, we are seeing digital transformation unfold in real-time. In the second Virtual Education Transformation Summit, taking place on May 27, we invited University Presidents and Provosts, Ministries of Higher Education, and other leaders of Higher Education institutions to join us in a discussion about what is occurring in higher education and how we can collaborate globally as we move forward into an uncertain future. We discussed the challenges facing institutions and the opportunity to renew our commitment to student success as the COVID-19 crisis reshapes higher education.

Disrupting the education paradigm

At the Educational Transformation Summit, from May 5th, 2020, we explored the large-scale adoption of distance learning and identify strategies to drive deeper transformation of mainstream schooling.

As the COVID-19 situation continues to develop, we are seeing unparalleled levels of collaboration between public and private sector. Teachers, parents and students are coming together to use technology in new and remarkable ways, in particular for distance teaching and learning, at a scale never seen before. The implications for education are considerable and education leaders across the globe are responding with innovative solutions that transform how students access education.

We are seeing digital transformation unfold real-time. Together, we have an opportunity to build on each other's expertise and learnings from around the globe, and come together with a shared agenda to embrace the new paradigm.
